The Ross County Planning Commission is appointed by the Ross County Board of Commissioners. The Planning Commission is responsible for the administration of the Ross County Subdivision Regulations, development of the Thoroughfare Plan, and administration of Access Management. Planning Commission meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held at the Ross County Service Center at 475 Western Avenue, at 6:30pm.

The Ross County Planning Commission adopted the Ross County/City of Chillicothe Thoroughfare Plan Update at its January 15th, 2008 meeting and passed it on for approval by the Ross County Commissioners. The Commissioners approved the plan on January 22, 2008.
